My name is Dorijana. I was born in 1968 in Novigrad, where I spent my earliest childhood, and I grew up in the heart of Istria, where I still live and create today. After completing my secondary education, I began my career in my field of study, but after years of work and personal growth, I discovered a passion for silk painting. Through this art form, I found a way to express my creativity and embarked on a unique creative journey.
With free movements and broad brushstrokes, I transferred my visual emotions into artistic harmony. After years of exploration, learning, and enjoying the process, in 2013, I founded my brand MONTARO.
MONTARO was created to highlight the individuality and beauty of a woman with unique designs. Her strength lies in her intuition, emotional intelligence, ability to balance life's challenges, and deep empathy, expressing her gentleness and uniqueness through choices that reflect her character and creativity.
My free painting style comes alive as the silk threads absorb the colors from my wide brushes, guided by intuition and spontaneous inspiration. Without boundaries or predefined lines, the visual stimulation unleashes my creativity and drives the creative process.
